Gone til June

As you may well know, I have a day job. It would be nice to be able to write songs all day, but I am appreciative of the fact that — at this point in my life — working affords me the ability to do what I love. It allows me to release new music, eat, and not default on my student loans. I love one of those things significantly more than the other two…but they’re all essential.

There is an ebb and flow of my work responsibilities that — as of late — has seemed to heavily favor the flow. This manifests itself most readily in extended social media lulls. Save for the post-operative selfie, my presence in 2016 has certainly been more sporadic than desirable.

To pick up the tidal metaphor where we left off, it seems a storm surge is underway — forecasted to recede in early June. I look forward to posting again then.

There is good news, though: I have new music! I released a single, The Long Way Home, back in December — one track from a four song EP I recorded this past fall with Chris Badami at Portrait Recording Studios.

The EP, ‘Loose Ends’, should be available early in the Summer. I have a long backlog of songs I’ve been working on — so plan on even more material in the not so distant future.

I trust all is well and hope to be back on the road to see all of you again very soon.
